Biography
Dr. Saady is an assistant professor at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John’s, NL. He received his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Technology in Iraq, and a Ph.D. from the University of Windsor, Ontario. He taught undergraduate and graduate courses in general and environmental engineering programs at the University of Windsor, Ontario. Dr. Saady worked as an associate researcher at Dairy and Swine Research and Development Centre, Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, Sherbrooke, Quebec, where he investigated extensively management and treatment of livestock and agricultural waste. He has been awarded seven prestigious scholarships including three Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) scholarships. He published more than 30 peer-reviewed research articles, two book’s chapters, and presented in 10 international conferences. He serves as an Editor-in-Chief for Advances in Recycling & Waste Management Journal published by OMICS International. He served as a handling editor for the International Journal of Environment and Waste Management (IJEWM) and International Journal of Environmental Engineering (IJEE) published by Inderscience Publishers. He served as a panel speaker and a member of the organizing, program or scientific committee for more than 15 international conferences in Canada, the USA, and Europe. Dr. Saady is licensed as a professional Engineer in Ontario and Newfoundland.
