Dr Allan Stensballe heads the Precision medicine part of the Translational Biomarkers for Pain
and Precision Medicine research group at Aalborg University in Denmark. Dr. Stensballe have
strong background in protein chemistry and applied proteomics for the study of human disease
pathology. In recent years the clinical research focuses on applied omics for investigating
triggers of autoimmune diseases and inflammatory mechanisms as well as precision medicine in
this context. Our research group focus aims to unravel the molecular mechanisms of multiple
autoimmune related disorders by application of proteomics approaches also to detect potential
biomarkers for patient subtyping as well as predicting treatment outcomes.
