Millions of US adults have a sleep disorder, out of which more than fifty percent report snoringDrowsy driving is responsible for many fatalities and even nonfatal injuries are also reported annually in the United States. Few serious sleep disorders affect normal physical, mental, social and emotional functioning.

Age-adjusted prevalence has seen six-fold increase in any sleep disorder diagnosis. Maximum were seen in patients with post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental disorders. It increased from less than 1 % in 2000 to nearly 6% in 2010. Sleep apnea was 47 %, followed by insomnia, 26 %. Old people with cardiovascular disease, cancer, or other chronic diseases experienced higher rates of sleep disorder diagnoses compared to healthy ones.

Global Sleep Aids Market is valued at $49,543 million in 2016, and should reach $79,851 million by 2022.From 2017 to 2023 a CAGR of 7.0% should be registered. Sleep disorders categorized into insomnia, sleep apnoea, restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy and sleep walking are analysed in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and LAMEA.

Sleep disorders are the most common health problems reported in the United States. The estimated prevalence of syndromes of sleep-wake disorders in the US is about 50-70 million, and those who suffer from chronic sleep disorders have impaired daily functioning, compromised health status, and diminished quality of life. This research has led to a heightened understanding of the mechanisms regulating these behavioural states and the pathways, transmitters, and receptors involved in the sleep-wake cycle.

Dental sleep medicine is a dental practice that focuses on the use of oral appliance therapy to treat sleep-disorders like breathing, including snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Dentists work together with sleep physicians to identify the best treatment for many patients. As a dentist, screening the patients with questionnaires and physical examination designed to identify key physical attributes that correlate with sleep-disordered breathing and Obstructive sleep Apnoea, including a large tongue or long soft palate helps dental sleep professionals set their patients on the path of proper treatment.

Session on Hypersomnia

Hypersomnia is a neurological disorder of excessive time spent sleeping or excessive sleepiness. The main symptom of hypersomnia is excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS), or prolonged night time sleep which has occurred for at least 3 months prior to diagnosis. Sleepiness is a common experience, with the prevalence of excessive daytime sleepiness occurring at least 3 day/week ranging from 4% to 21%. Such sleepiness may be caused by medical conditions, sleep disorders, illicit and prescribed substances, work and family demands, and insufficient sleep time.

Session on Mental and Physical Causes of Insomnia

Chronic insomnia is mainly complicated due to mental health conditions. Usually sleep that occurs at least three nights per week and it lasts at least for three month. Changes in the environment, unhealthy sleep habits, shift work, other clinical disorders, and certain medications could lead to a long-term pattern of insufficient sleep. Insomnia can be caused by physical factors and also psychological factors.

Session on Obstructive Sleep Apnoea during Pregnancy

Sleep apnoea is a sleep disorder where there are pauses in breathing. Instead of breathing in and out normally, a woman with sleep apnoea will stop breathing for a brief period and then start back up spontaneously. These pauses can happen many times in a night. Extreme daytime sleepiness is another symptom of sleep apnea. It can be hard to tell the difference between normal pregnancy exhaustion and tiredness caused by sleep apnoea. We know that many women who don’t otherwise snore will snore during pregnancy. This snoring may be a sign that they are experiencing sleep apnoea. Now a new study shows that these sleep breathing problems also affect the baby’s oxygen supply.

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind.


Transportation

Please note that any (or) all transportation and parking is the responsibility of the registrant.

 

Press/Media

Press permission must be obtained from allied academies Conferences Organizing Committee prior to the event. The press will not quote speakers or delegates unless they have obtained their approval in writing. The allied academies are an objective third-party non-profit organization. This conference is not associated with any commercial meeting company.

 

Requesting an Invitation Letter

For security purposes, letter of invitation will be sent only to those individuals who had registered for the conference. Once your registration is complete, please contact to request a personalized letter of invitation.

Regarding refunds, all bank charges will be for the registrants account.


Cancellation, Postponement and Transfer of Registration

 

Cancellation Policy

If an allied academy cancels this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another allied academies event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.

Postponement

If allied academies postpones an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another e allied academies event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

 

Transfer of registration

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to sleep@alliedconferences.org . Details must be included the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

 

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied academies. If the person is unable to attend one of conferences.

 

However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 14 days of respective conference.

 

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

 

Visa Information

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

Allied academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy of Allied academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.

 

Refund Policy:

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overheads, we had to keep Refund Policy is as following slabs-

 

Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund less $100 service Fee

Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund

Within 30 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund

E-Poster Payments will not be refunded.

 

Accommodation Cancellation Policy:

Accommodation Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies, and they generally apply when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. Please contact us as soon as possible, if you wish to cancel or amend your accommodation. Allied academies will advise the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancelling or amending your booking, to ensure you are fully aware of any non-refundable deposits.
