Desineni “Subbaram” Naidu received MTech and PhD (1979) degrees in Electrical Engineering (with specialization in Control Systems Engineering), from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, INDIA. Since August 2014, Professor Naidu has been with University of Minnesota Duluth as Minnesota Power Jack Rowe Endowed Chair and Professor of Electrical Engineering. Professor Naidu received twice the Senior National Research Council (NRC) Associateship award from the US National Academy of Sciences (NAS), and is an elected (1995) (now Life) Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and an elected (2003) Fellow of the World Innovation Foundation, UK.

Biography :

Daoxiong GONG received the PhD degree in control theory and control engineering from Beijing University of Technology in 2004. He was an academic visiting scholar with the laboratory for robotics and automation, the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Michigan State University, US, from 2012 to 2013. He is an associate professor with the Faculty of Information Technology, Beijing University of Technology. His research is supported by the NSFC.

Research Interest :

His research interests include tele-manipulation robot, evolutionary computation, and intelligent control.

Biography :

Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the Electrical Department Faculty of Engineering Universitas Hasanuddin UNHAS Makassar Indonesia and also an Associate Research at Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology University of Technology Sydney UTS, Australia. Achieved a bachelor degree, Sarjana Teknik ST at the University of Hasanuddin UNHAS Makassar in 2003 in the area of Control Systems and Design, with the title of final project Robot BASIC for Obstacle Detection and Avoidance. Obtaining a masters' degree in Computer Science, MScCS by Research at the University of Technology Sydney UTS Australia in 2009, awarded an Australian Partnership Scholarship from the AUSAID, with the title of thesis A Directed Learning-based Evolutionary Approach for Legged Robot Motion. A PhD in Computer Systems the University of Technology Sydney UTS Australia in the area of robotics, awarded by the AUSAID in the scheme of Australian Leadership Award from 2012 to 2016 with the project on Evolving Robot Empathy through the Generation of Artificial Pain in an Adaptive Self-awareness Framework for Human-Robot Collaborative Tasks. Active research in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and recently in Cognitive and Social Robotics with the particulars of development of self-awareness concept into robot framework. Research works involved with data mining, machine learning, visual processing which covers image detection and visual transformation. Besides, several projects involving hardware robot development, embedded systems and kinematics for robot gait development, with software development utilising C, C++, R Programming and Python. He is currently working at the Department of Electrical Engineering UNHAS and being the head of the Indonesia-Australian Cognitive and Social Robotics Collaboration, which is a joint research work between the Faculty of Engineering UNHAS and the Faculty of Information and Technology UTS Australia which was formerly a joint research project in Advance Artificial Intelligent Research Group established in 2009 in the area of robotics.

Research Interest :

Research works involved with data mining, machine learning, visual processing which covers image detection and visual transformation. Besides, several projects involving hardware robot development, embedded systems and kinematics for robot gait development, with software development utilizing C, C++, R-Programming and Python.

Assistant Professor, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Biography :

Dr. Abdelkefi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at New Mexico State University. He has advised three PhD students and four Master students. He is currently advising seven PhD students and six Master students. His research interests are in the fields of nonlinear dynamics, energy harvesting, vibration & control, smart materials, aeroelasticity, fluid-structure interactions, MEMS & NEMS, and flight dynamics. Dr. Abdelkefi has one book, one patent, more than 100 published archival journal articles, and more than 80 conference presentations at national and international conferences. He has also served as a reviewer in more than 50 journals. Before joining New Mexico State University, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Virginia Tech between July 2012 and July 2014. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech in 2012 and a Master of Science in Computational Mechanics from Tunisia Polytechnic School in collaboration with Virginia Tech in 2009.

Biography :

Salvatore Gaglio graduated in electronic engineering at the University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy in 1977, and in 1978 he received the M.S.E.E. degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, U.S.A. From 1986 he is the professor of computer science and artificial intelligence at the University of Palermo, Italy. From 2007 he is the scientific responsible of the Ph. D. program in Computer Engineering at the University of Palermo. From 2005 he is the Director of the Laboratory for Intelligent Systems of ICAR-CNR at the University of Palermo. From 2016 to 2018 he has been the President of the Italian National Academy of Sciences, Humanities, and Arts of Palermo. He has been a member of various committees for projects of national interest in Italy and he is a referee of various scientific congresses and journals.

Research Interest :

His present research activities are in the area of artificial intelligence and robotics. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, and AAAI.

Responsibility

Delegates are personally responsible for their belongings at the venue. The Organizers will not be held responsible for any stolen or missing items belonging to Delegates, Speakers or Attendees; due to any reason whatsoever.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind.

Transportation

Please note that any (or) all transportation and parking is the responsibility of the registrant.

Press/Media

Press permission must be obtained from Allied Academies Organizing Committee prior to the event. The press will not quote speakers or delegates unless they have obtained their approval in writing. The Allied academies are a non-profit organization. This conference is not associated with any commercial meeting company.

Requesting an Invitation Letter

For security purposes, the letter of invitation will be sent only to those individuals who had registered for the conference. Once your registration is complete, please contact us to request a personalized letter of invitation.

Regarding refunds, all bank charges will be for the registrant's account.

Cancellation, Postponement, and Transfer of Registration

All cancellations or modifications of registration must be made in writing to Program Manager(finance@alliedacademies.com).

Cancellation Policy

If Allied academies cancel this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies Conferences (AAC) event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.

Postponement

If Allied academies postpone an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies Conferences event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

Transfer of registration

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to Program ManagerDetails must be included with the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied academies if the person is unable to attend one of conferences.

However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 14 days of the respective conference.

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

Visa Information

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

Allied Academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy of Allied Academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.

Refund Policy:

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overheads, we had to keep Refund Policy is as following slabs-

  • Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund less $100 service Fee
  • Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund
  • Within 30 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund
  • E-Poster Payments will not be refunded.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy:

Accommodation Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies, and they generally apply when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. Please contact us as soon as possible, if you wish to cancel or amend your accommodation. Allied Academies will advise the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancelling or amending your booking, to ensure you are fully aware of any non-refundable deposits
