Associate Professor of pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, complementary and alternative medicine, department of pharmaceutical sciences, faculty of pharmacy, The University of Jordan teaching BSc, MSc and PhD courses. Taught phytochemistry, pharmacognosy, chemistry of medicinal plants, toxic and hallucinogenic plants, complementary and alternative medicine and selected topics in phytochemistry for BSc and Pharm D students. I was involved in teaching and supervising postgraduate PhD and MSc students in the field of natural products chemistry and phytochemical analysis. Acted as a referee for a number of national and international pharmaceutical conferences and scientific journals, a member of national and international professional societies.Published research in international scientific journals and conferences in the fields of biological effect of medicinal plant extracts, platelet aggregation, NOS inhibition and inflammation. Completed PhD at the age of 30 at the department of Pharmacognosy, School of Pharmacy, University Collage, University of London. BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, minor clinical pharmacy. Started pharmacy career at King Khalid University Hospital lasted for 4 years. Current research is focused on validating traditional herbal remedies and phytochemistry research of medicinal and edible plants using in vitro and in vivo models for the potential hypoglycaemic, antimicrobial, platelet aggregation inhibition, inflammation and possible herb-drug interaction.
