Helga Rohra is a former interpreter and was diagnosed at the age of 54 with Lewy Body Dementia. She lives in Munich, Germany together with her son. Since 8 years she is a strong advocat for the rights of people with dementia. Her books: "Dementia Activist" - Jessica Kingsley Publishers,London/Washington and her newest "A victory in dementia" (only in German language) are bestsellers. As the chair of the European Working Group of People With Dementia from the very start 2012 she was involved in many international projects and is a highly appreciated speaker.
