Biography
Eduardo Spinedi completed his Ph. D. degree in Argentina (UNSL), after pre-doctoral trainings at the Department of Physiology, Southwestern Medical School (UTHSCD, Dallas, Tx) and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS-NIH, Research Triangle Park, NC). He acted as Assistant Professor at the Neuroendocrine Unit, Geneva University Medical School (1989-1993; Switzerland). He hold a Head-Lab position of the Neuroendocrine Unit at his former institution (IMBICE; 1992-2009). He served as Head-Director at the Centre of Experimental and Applied Endocrinology (CENEXA, UNLP-CONICET, Argentina; 2014-2018) and as Associate Professor of Gynecology (La Plata Medical School; 2014-2019). Actually he is holding the highest researcher position at the Argentina Research Council (CONICET). His actual research area of interest is the interaction between neuroendocrine and adipose tissue functions. He has published (as author/co-author) more than 100 scientific works in highqualified international journals, and is serving as member for several recognized editorial boards, Neuroendocrinology among others.
