BSc in Biological Sciences at Federal University of São Carlos (SP) - Brazil (1984); MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Federal University of Ceará – Brazil (1990); PhD at Federal University of São Paulo - Brazil (1998). Full Professor at Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) - Brazil, since 1992. Working at the Biosciences Institute (INBIO). Teacher and researcher in the Postgraduate Programs in Plant Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Ecology and Conservation. Main research lines: 1) Bioprospecting of bioactive molecules produced by plants and fungi native to the Cerrado and Pantanal biomes; 2) Symbiotic interactions between fungi and plants; 3) Structure of communities of endophytic fungi of native plants of the Cerrado and Pantanal Biomes; 4) Biological control of phytopathogenic fungi using strains isolated from Cerrado and Pantanal.
