Sessions and Tracks

Toronto, Canada invites your presence for the International Conference on Toxicology and Pharmacology during November 1-2, 2017. Toxicology Conference 2017 is being hosted and organized by Allied Academies with a theme “Delving into the Depths of Pharmaco-Tox Researches”. The Conference assures its attendees of a platform where the exchange and sharing of invaluable knowledge, research findings and experiences can happen with clarity as that of a crystal. Conference highlights will include major sessions mentioned below:

Toxicology helps to deal with the new ideas to protect humans and the environment from the harmful effects of toxicants and also to enable the expansion of more discerning toxicants such as anticancer and other clinical drugs and pesticides. Toxicology is highly diverse science and human activity drawing from and contributing to a broad range of other sciences and human events. And one of those is the sciences that contribute their methods and philosophical concepts to serve the needs of toxicologists, either in research or in the application of toxicology to human affairs. At the other end of the spectrum are those sciences to which toxicology contributes.

Clinical toxicology deals with analysis and treatment of the normal diseases or effects caused by toxic materials of exogenous origin i.e. xenobiotics Clinical toxicology includes the discovery and treatment of poisonings caused by a wide variety of materials, including domestic and work products, animal poisons and venoms, environmental agents, pharmaceuticals, and illegal drugs. Forensic toxicology is concerned with the medico legal aspects of the adverse effects of chemicals on humans and animals. Although primarily devoted to the identification of the cause and circumstances of death and the legal issues arising there from, forensic toxicologists also deal with sub lethal poisoning cases. Forensic toxicology deals with the application of toxicology to cases and problems where those adverse effects have managerial or medico? legal significance, and where the results are likely to be used in court. Forensic toxicology is a methodically modern science based on published and extensively accepted scientific methods and practices for both analysis of drugs in biological materials, and interpretation of those results.

Toxicology is basic knowledge from clinical and theoretical medicine and natural sciences such as biology and chemistry Because of this diversity, toxicologists usually specialize in certain areas. Any attempt to define the scope of toxicology must take into account that the various sub disciplines are not mutually exclusive and frequently are heavily interdependent. Due to the overlapping mechanisms of toxicity, chemical classes, and observed toxic effects, clear divisions into subjects of equal importance are often not possible the professional activities of toxicologists can be divided into three main categories: descriptive, mechanistic, and regulatory Applied Toxicology includes the various aspects of toxicology and the development of new methodology or new selective toxicants for early application in the field setting.

In vitro experimentation includes microsomes, liver slices, hepatocytes, cell lines and expressed enzymes. With this information, prediction of the probability of in vivo drug-drug interactions is potential. Among the in vitro experimentation, human liver microsomes seem to be the most appropriate in vitro system for the determination of in vitro to in vivo scaling in vitro experiments can deliver useful info regarding drug interactions, extrapolation of in vitro data to in vivo situations is far from straightforward Factors such as extrahepatic drug metabolism, uncertainty of drug concentrations at the enzyme catalytic site and the complexity of inhibition mechanisms make it difficult to accurately predict the in vivo situation from in vitro data. Thus, in view of the advantages and disadvantages of the in vivo and in vitro systems, a combination of both strategies in the evaluation of potential drug interactions of a medicine is essential.

Pharmacology is a branch of medical science that forms a backbone of the medical profession as drugs form the corner stone of therapy in human diseases. Therefore, it is of utmost prominence to describe the pharmacological basis of therapeutics in directive to exploit the welfares and minimize the risks of drugs to recipients. Pharmacology is the study of interface of drugs with living creatures. It also includes history, source, physicochemical properties, dosage forms, and methods of administration, absorption, distribution mechanism of action, biotransformation, excretion, clinical uses and adverse effects of drugs. Most drugs accessible presently are able to decrease the morbidity and mortality due to these disorders.

Clinical pharmacology has advanced a number of ways in which the scientific care of patients can be improved. The main aim is to progress the Rational Use of Medications both for individual patients and for patient populaces wherever they may reside. Clinical care of paediatric and geriatric patients’ needs exceptional kindness from the clinical pharmacologist The clinical pharmacologist is expert in the critical assessment of new and old therapies, and uses drug application studies and pharmacoepidemiological services to help in this task as well as skills such as pharmacogenetics Clinical pharmacologists have an significant part on Drug and Therapeutics Committees where they help the rational introduction and use of new and expensive medicines into the delivery of health care.

Ethnopharmacology have variously been seen as a tool for drug discovery a mode of ascertaining conservation as threat to the integrity of indigenous cultures or as a field of research which will need the growth of novel forms of partnership between native peoples and investigators Ethnopharmacologic exploration, involving both field visits, as well as experimental research has lead in past to highly valuable information about medicinal plants used in different cultures and many were developed into drugs Enormous ethnopharmacological research was carried out by physicians with expertise or interest in chemistry, pharmacology, botany or anthropology Field observations of traditional therapies are of pivotal importance for investigating their pharmacological effects in humans and isolating their active principles.

Market Analysis

Toxicology: Market At a Glance

North America toxicology laboratories have been estimated to be valued at US$ 97.4 Mn in 2015, which is anticipated to increase to US$ 198.2 Mn revenue by 2022 at a CAGR of 11.1%. Factors such as growing abuse of controlled substances, increased intervention by government authorities, regulations to deter uncontrolled consumption of illicit drugs, and favorable reimbursement policies for conducting toxicity testing across workplaces are expected to drive the growth of the toxicology laboratories market in North America. By drug class, the North America toxicology laboratories market is segmented into, alcohol, amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, opiates/opioids, tricyclic antidepressants, and Z-Drugs. Amphetamine, opiate/opioids, benzodiazepines, and barbiturates segments have been estimated to emerge as the highest revenue generating segments, collectively accounting for around 81% share of the overall market value in 2015. By product type, the market is broadly segmented into instrument and reagents and kits. Instrument segment is further sub-segmented into immunochemistry analyzers, PCR machine, gas chromatography (GC)-mass spectrometry (MS), and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Reagents and kits segment is further sub-segmented into, ELISA kits, PCR kits, enzyme multiplied immunoassay technique (EMIT), and radio immuno-sorbent assay (RIA).

Pharmacology: Market At a Glance

The global pharmaceutical market is growing steadily, with sales reaching $1.08 trillion in 2011 – a year-on-year increase of 7.8%. The mature economies proved very sluggish, but the growth economies were another matter. Sales in the BRIC countries (Brazil, China, India and Russia) rose by 22.6%, while sales in the other 13 growth countries (the ‘fast followers’, as we call them) rose by 7.2%.9 If this pattern continues, the market for medicines could be worth nearly $1.6 trillion by 2020. Pharma is focused on the roughly 15% of the health budget that goes on medicines.68 That leaves another 85% from which it can generate revenues by reducing consumption of more costly medical services. If it succeeds in doing this – and in surmounting sociopolitical opposition to the rebalancing of the mix – we think its share of healthcare expenditure in the mature economies could rise to 20% by 2020.
