Parasites are living Marco or microorganisms which uses other living things such as our body, food or a place to live. It is an infectious disease and it occurs due to contaminated water or food, or due to a bug bite, or sexual contact. Only some parasitic diseases can be easily treated and some cannot be. The size of the Parasites vary from tiny, one-celled organisms called protozoa to worms which can be seen with the naked eye. Giardia infections are led by the contaminated water supply. Others, like malaria, are common in other parts of the world.

Bacterial and viral infections are mainly caused by microbes. These infections are transmitted by sneezing, coughing, contaminated water, food, and surfaces, contact with infected humans, creatures(which includes pets, insects such as ticks and fleas). Infectious diseases and disorders are caused by bacteria, fungi, virus or parasites, and the treatments differ for bacteria and virus infections, so it is important to know about the cause of an infection, but it difficult to identify the cause of the infection because both the infections show similar symptoms. The type of infections are identified by some test such as urine/stool/blood for culture test to identify the bugs under a microscope.

Food microbiology mainly focus on food safety. Most of the diseases, pathogens are transmitted through food, which includes virus and bacteria. In this area of Microbiology we study that, bacteria and viruses are eliminated with proper cooking, However some toxins produced by contamination cannot be changed to non-toxic forms by heating or cooking the contaminated food because of some safety conditions. Microorganisms plays a major role in producing fermented foods like bread, curd, cheese, yoghurt, beer and wine.

When microorganisms are exposed to antimicrobial drugs antimicrobial resistance occurs. In this current century clinical microbiology study aims in discovering microbial resistance and it is spreading worldwide, which threatens our ability to treat common infections, and it leads to illness, disability and death. Medical procedures such as cancer chemotherapy, diabetes management organ transplantation and surgeries become high critical without any effective antimicrobials for prevention and treatment of infections.

Antimicrobial agent are the variety of  physical agents and chemical compounds which are widely used to kill the microorganisms or to block their development. An important innovation succeeding the discovery of these antimicrobial agents into medicine is to find their basic structure which can be modified chemically to increase their tendency. Therefore, in clinical microbiology, the antimicrobial agents which are used in treating the disease include synthetic chemicals and also the chemical substances or metabolic products made by microorganisms and chemical substances derived from plants.

Antimicrobial therapy helps in eradicating different types of infections caused by fungi, bacteria or protozoans. The secondary metabolites of microorganisms are the antibiotics. The clinical trials of antibiotics are being tested among patients to check the antibiotic reactions. Chemotherapy drugs have narrow range for safety and effectiveness and are strong medicines. Targeted therapy acts only on targeted genes or proteins to diagnose and treat disease. Antibiotics causes normal intestinal flora alterations and it results in superinfection with opportunistic pathogens or diarrhoea.

Bacterial infections are treated by the drugs called antibiotics, whereas in viral infections the antibiotics does not effect. Initially, an antibiotic was a substance made by one microorganism that selectively inhibits the growth of another. When given in therapeutic dosage condition, several antibiotics are also effective against fungi and  protozoans, and some are toxic to humans and animals, and it is analysed by Clinical trials before the availability in the market.
