Cancer Clinical Trails

Cancer Clinical Trails Photo Clinical trials are experiments done in clinical research. Such prospective biomedical or behavioural research studies on human participants are designed to answer specific questions about biomedical or behavioural interventions, including new treatments (such as novel vaccinesdrugsdietary choicesdietary supplements, and medical devices) and known interventions that warrant further study and comparison. Clinical trials generate data on safety and efficacy. Of every 5,000 cancer molecules identified in the laboratory, about 250 will enter pre-clinical testing. Of this 250, fewer than 10 are tested in clinical trials and on average only one will be approved by regulatory authorities. The process of bringing a new treatment from the research stage (laboratory) to clinic is estimated to take between 10–13 years.
